Panama City Beach Fishing
The January 2008 issue of the US Airways Magazine labeled Florida’s Panhandle as the best Coastal Fishing Departure in the United States. The article went on to list the three best locations along the coast to fish. The number two location was Panama City’s St. Andrews Bay:
The waters around Panama City play host to several fishing tournaments each year. Expect blue marlin, red snapper and mackerel, among others.
The number one location was Choctawhatchee Bay in Destin, Florida and the number three location was Apalachicola Bay in Apalachicola, Florida.
Panama City has several locations that boast charter fishing. Several charter boats operate out of the docs behind Captain Andersons Restaurant on the west side of St. Andrews Bay. Several charters and fishing guides operate out of the marina on the east side of the bay in the Panama City marina.
