Panama City - Saltwater Fishing Report

As the original duck guide in Northwest Florida a can assure you it looks like we are going to have a big year.

Let's talk about fishing first. The big bull reds are still around and easy to catch. We had three this morning along with a box full of spanish.
Then we had a big day with the Montemeyer family putting over 30 spanish in the box. We went through a lot of hooks that day. We lost as many or more than what was boated. Non stop action. Last, Gary Demchic, fly fished with me for two days catching blues and Spanish. Gary, hope to meet you in Alaska next fall.

DUCK HUNTING
I was the first duck guide in North Florida. You want to shoot ducks, you call me. That simple. I charge $85 per hunter per hunt and have knowledge of all the salt water in the area plus a bunch of lakes. This year with the wood duck limit being 3 per day I will be running some swamp hunts. Back in the day we used to shoot some mallards, black ducks, widgeon and teal in the swamps. We also saw some geese on occasion.

I love to hunt on Lake Wimico having taken pintails, cans, mallards and just about every other duck on that lake. A Wimico hunt, due to the distance, is $100 per hunter per hunt. All you have to do is have a gun, shells and camo when your with me. We stand in the water or hunt from a boat. I have portable blinds like you have never seen which makes us very mobile and gives me to move to where the ducks are flying. I have no problem with giving names and numbers of clients that have hunted with me. I run a first class operation that is priced fair.

Panama City Fishing Forecast:

Big schools of spanish and bonito will continue for a few more weeks for the fly fisherman, live bait or artificial.
Big bulls in the deeper water can be caught throughout the winter.
Trout and reds in the bayous and creeks will be the treat in the upcoming weeks.
Warren bayou will heat up....as if it's not hot already.

Target Species: Reds, trout, spanish, flounder and bonita. Some legal grouper in secret spots.
